The finishing touch

Finally, the badge. The holes drilled in the Caterham nosecones are usually far from central. Mine was no exception, with the gap either side of the holes to the edge of the platinum stripe being 5mm different on either side.

Out with the drill, I edged the holes towards slots with frequent stops for checking, as I really did not want to go too far with either slot.

Putting the badge in place was a watershed moment.

I felt I was finished. I was finished.

There were no more jobs to do.

The build was over.

The finishing touch.

The finishing touch.
